Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all bookings and use of Arklight Studio. By confirming a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. BOOKINGS

All bookings must be confirmed via email or through our online booking form.
Booking times are strict; setup and pack-down must be completed within your allocated slot.
Arrival more than 5 minutes prior to your booking is not permitted without prior approval, unless 15-minute early access has been added for £5. Please note the studio may still be in preparation during this time.

2. PAYMENT

Payment is required at the time of booking for all online bookings. All other bookings must be paid within 48 hours of invoice to secure your booking.
Unpaid bookings may be released without notice.
Additional charges (extra backdrops, equipment, or services) must be arranged and paid in advance.

3. CANCELLATION & REFUNDS

Cancellations made 10 days or more before the booking: Eligible for a full refund, less a £5 cancellation fee.
Cancellations made between 10 days and 48 hours before the booking: Eligible for a 50% partial refund, minus £5 cancellation fee.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the booking: Non-refundable
Bookings may be rescheduled once, free of charge, up to 48 hours before the scheduled booking time.

4. STUDIO USE

The studio is available for photography, content creation, and related creative projects only.
The studio must not be used for any illegal activity.
Pornographic or explicit content production (including OnlyFans or similar platforms) is strictly prohibited.

By making a booking, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you accept full responsibility for all individuals attending under your booking, ensuring safe and respectful use of the space.

Pets and children are permitted only with prior arrangement.

5. EQUIPMENT & SETS

The studio provides 1 × continuous light, 2 × flash lights, and 1 × 18” Neewer ring light.
Clients may bring their own equipment.
Backdrops: The first backdrop is included. Additional backdrops are £10 each and must be arranged and paid for in advance. Special orders may take up to 10 days.
All furniture and props are for studio use only and must not be removed or misused.

6. WHITE CORNER USAGE

Shoe protection must be worn when using the white corner (shoe covers or taped soles). (Models are exempt while shooting.)
Do not step or lean on the curved section of the wall.
Any marks, stains, or damage may result in a cleaning or repair charge.
A perfectly clean white floor/walls cannot be guaranteed, as marks may occur from previous use on the same day.

Please note, this is not an infinity cove/wall. there is visible connections/seams on the panels along the main wall.

7. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Clients are responsible for any breakages, losses, or damages caused during their booking.
Full payment will be required for any damages, assessed via inspection before and after your session.
The studio must be left clean and in the same condition as it was at the start of your booking.
Additional cleaning fees may apply if the studio is left excessively dirty or requires specialist cleaning.
Smoking & Vaping is strictly prohibited.
Open flames (including candles), Smoke machines & hazardous materials are strictly prohibited.
Confetti, confetti cannons, or similar materials are not permitted unless prior permission has been given.

8. ACCESS & SECURITY

Access to the studio is provided via a secure entry code issued prior to your booking.
This code is strictly confidential and must not be shared with anyone outside of your booking group.
You are responsible for ensuring the studio is securely closed upon leaving, and that all equipment and electrical items are switched off.
Any misuse of the access code or unauthorised sharing may result in additional charges and/or liability for any resulting loss, damage, or security issues.

9. SAFETY & STUDIO CONDITIONS

General Studio Information
• CCTV operates in communal areas and entrances only for security. Private areas are excluded.
• The studio does not provide Wi-Fi.
• The studio currently does not have disabled access.
• A lift is available but may require lift doors on other floors to be closed to operate correctly.

• Parking is available on-site. All vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk, and Arklight Studio accepts no responsibility for loss or damage.

Health & Safety
• Clients are responsible for ensuring the health and safety of themselves and all attendees during their booking.
• A fire escape is located at the end of the corridor, to your right when leaving the studio.
• A fire extinguisher is provided within the studio and must only be used in an emergency.
• Clients must take reasonable care when using equipment, props, and studio features.
• Any injuries, accidents, or incidents must be reported within 24 hours.
• Clients are responsible for carrying out their own risk assessments where required.

10. NOISE & CONDUCT

The studio can not guarantee a quite environment, it is generally quiet, but the building houses other businesses, so noise will occur. Please note, next door there is a martial arts gym with classes generally between the hours of 5-9pm when classes are on there is quite a bit of noise and vibrations along the shared wall and floor.

A speaker is provided for music, but please keep the volume at a reasonable level. Clients must behave respectfully and avoid disrupting other tenants.

11. LIABILITY

Arklight Studio is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings during your booking.
Clients are responsible for arranging their own insurance where required, We strongly recommend having public Liability.

12. PHOTOGRAPHY & CONTENT USAGE

Arklight Studio may capture behind-the-scenes photos and/or video within the studio for marketing and promotional purposes, including use on our website, social media, and other promotional materials.

By booking or attending, clients and attendees consent to such capture and use of their image and likeness for these purposes, and the booking party is responsible for ensuring all guests, models, or other attendees are aware of and agree to this policy. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, you must notify us in advance of your booking.

If you tag Arklight Studio or share content created within the studio, you grant us permission to repost and use that content for marketing purposes, unless you request otherwise in writing. You may request removal of reposted content at any time, and we will comply where reasonably possible.

13. FOOD & DRINK

Food and drinks are allowed. Alcohol is not permitted unless prior approval has been given.

14. CHANGES TO TERMS

Arklight Studio reserves the right to update or amend these Terms at any time.
Bookings will be subject to the Terms in place at the time of confirmation.
Arklight Studio also reserves the right to cancel or refuse a booking where necessary, including but not limited to unforeseen circumstances, safety concerns, or misuse of the space. In such cases, a full refund will be provided.
